What to Do While You Wait For Switchboard Repairs in an Emergency
The first thing you should do if you need emergency switchboard repairs is to call a reputable licensed electrician. Do not attempt to perform any electrical work yourself or allow anyone who is not a licensed electrician to do so. If it is safe to do so (no fire or sparking), turn the main power off. You should also isolate the area, making sure no pets or people come near the switchboard. In the case of fire, smoke or a strong burning plastic smell, call 000 or your local emergency number and ask for the fire department.
Under no circumstances, should you try and force the switch back on, especially if it continues to trip. We have heard stories of people using sticks to hold the switch on, however, this is highly dangerous and must be avoided to keep yourself, other people and the property safe. Today we had 2 really good ladies fix our electrical problem. Jaymie and Lizzie were excellent. Very thorough and kept me updated. They also went to the supplier to get the part and came back and fixed it. They also found a stray dog on our street and we all walked the streets for a good 30 minutes to try to find the owner. In the end the ladies took the dog to the local vet to try to identify the owner. First class service. 10 stars.

They converted several single outlets to doubles, installed entirely new double plug points, and resolved a frustrating data point connection issue that had been bothering us.From the start, they provided a very clear explanation of exactly how the works would be carried out. What really stood out was the level of care they took with our home; they were extremely mindful of our personal items, moving and protecting our TVs and wall pictures before starting any drilling or wiring.Once the job was finished, they didn't leave a speck of dust behind. They cleaned up and removed all debris caused by the installation, leaving the area exactly as they found it. Isaac did another great job upgrading lighting at our house. On time, professional, friendly and cleans up! Thanks mate.So, some months later, Beau has come and upgraded our switchboard. As usual for this team, professional and with safety uppermost. I wouldn’t use anyone else but All Access.Again, the guys installed a charger for my new EV (!) a couple of weeks ago - nice job by Isaac and Beau, and a brilliant troubleshooting effort yesterday by Josh, who came over straight away and got my charger happening. Beau called to quote on replacing light fittings in my apartment. He had given me a satisfactory estimate of the work involved & proceeded to install the new lights on the same day.
